Candle Light was created because we couldn't sit on the sidelines any longer after seeing how many children we know and love struggle to read. We know firsthand how tough it can be when reading feels like a mystery, and we want families to know they are not alone. We're here to help reading click - bringing confidence, curiosity, and a spark of fun to every lesson.
A Letter to You...
It’s been such a journey to get to this point—being able to share what I’ve learned about literacy in the United States and how our children’s brains truly work. As parents, we can all agree: we’ll move mountains for our children. But when it comes to reading struggles, it can feel confusing and lonely, not knowing where to turn or what to try next.

I’ve trusted teachers who meant well but missed the mark. I’ve had to bite my tongue (and sometimes didn’t!) when a principal said, “If your daughter would just work harder, she’d be reading by now.” I’ve bought every homeschool program under the sun—then tossed them all out. I’ve paid for tutoring and finally saw progress… until the tutor left.

That’s when my mission became clear. I decided to become the tutor my daughter needed but couldn’t quite find. And now, I’m so excited to meet you and share what I’ve discovered that really helps reading click for kids and parents alike.
